The Parish Register Society was formed in the last years of the 19th Century with the aim of transcribing, publishing and hence preserving the old Parish Registers which were beginning to crumble. This 3 page leaflet describes the aims of the society and invites the reader to take up an annual subscription of 1 guinea (£1. 1s.), which is £1.05p in today's money.
