Banstead Village

My wife and I lived in the cottage here known as the Bothy. This was about twenty years ago. What was strange was that on several occasions photos in frames would suddenly fall of the mantlepiece in the living room; this also happened after we left when a gardener called Gordon lived there. He told us it happened time and time again,but this didn't make it an unpleasant place to live.
Another little bit of interest is that one of the staff in the gardening dept ( the building with the car in front) showed me, written on a door frame hidden by bushes someone's racehorse selection for The Derby in about 1932.
