Waitrose Banstead - The new store

Waitrose first came to Banstead in 1965 and opened a store at the western end of the High street. This was replaced by a larger store on the site of the old village school on the corner of Avenue Road. A large fire in December 2008 completely destroyed this store but with Waitrose's commitment to serve its' customers in Banstead, the store was rebuilt in under twelve months and reopened on the 26th of November 2009.

Great Photos!!! Amazing how the Waitrose store in Banstead has arisen so quickly and looks very smart inside too! I was a pupil at the Banstead Infant School and now a partner at Waitrose in Okehampton, Devon!
