Tattenham Way

This photo for the postcard would have been taken in the mid to late 1930's after the houses were recently built. It's been taken from the corner of Tattenham Way and Meadow Way looking towards Great Tattenham. The pavements were only recently replaced with the current pavement approx 7-8 years ago!

Comments:
Sectional concrete road. The bus (164A) travelling along that road could be heard from a very long distance away "bob-bob, bob-bob" as it traversed the joins of the sections especially as they were laid on the chalk. Lampposts seem to be missing - I don't think they were so far apart not to have one in the photo.
