Greetings from Burgh Heath

A Francis Frith serrated edge multiview postcard of Burgh Heath, circa 1955 – showing views of (clockwise, l to r) Reigate Road, Waterer Gardens, The Parade and West Drive. In the centre is Park Downs – which, as anyone local will know, is actually nowhere near Burgh Heath.

Waterer Gardens and West Drive are side roads off the Reigate Road (A240) just south of Tattenham Way; and The Parade, a once tranquil little haven of general shops and a rural post office, now endures the constant noise of the Brighton Road (A217) dual carriageway.
