My late uncle’s mother Minnie Vandyke, was very involved, especially with costumes; she is on the right of the picture.

I lived a few doors away from Mr and Mrs Vandyke in Woodmansterne. My grandmother Violet Kemp was very involved in Woodmansterne WI from the late 40s. I can remember Mrs Vandyke getting all our costumes right for our pantomimes which were in the 50s held in the old hall over the road from the Woodman.
