Comments:
Every year when my Grandfather visited us in Woodmansterne from Orpington 50/60s we would walk over the fields on the footpaths to the Mint as the highlight of the week. Grandad and my parents always had half a cider. I had a glass of squash and a bag of crisps which were always soggy with a blue twist of salt.

Pauline Ingham and I often visited her relatives in the house opposite the Mint. We were always given the most delicious home made fruit pie in large wedges.
