This card, postmarked 1910, shows the view looking north, taken from roughly where the junction with Diceland Road would appear some five years later. The houses on the right are where Romans International car showrooms are situated today. The signpost ahead on the left is indicating Garratts Lane.

For me, what's particularly striking about this photograph is the number of wonderful mature trees lining the road.
