Village school - the cast of the play
My name is Christopher Bailey. I attended Banstead Village School, both Infants and Primary schools, between1950 and 1961. I was taught by Mr Cutchee, Mrs Murphy, Mr Jones and Mr Fenton.
This photo shows shows all those who took part in a school play. Sylvia (Bailey) believes that that the actors in the play also joined in the Coronation Parade though the performance may have been in 1952 - possibly late in the year - and the parade in June of 1953.
These are a few of the names I can remember.
Top Row L to R - ? , ?, Sylvia Bailey, ?, Duncan Chalmers, ?, Michael Nightingale.
Bottom Row L to R - 5th along Rodney Preece (Henry the Eighth) , 7th along Andrew Woolley.
I would be grateful if anyone out there could fill in any of the blanks in the group photo.

Very interesting to see, Christopher. I was in the same school, but my mother's needlework skills were less than advanced, so I never got a look in; I was very much on the sidelines!

I was there during the same period. Mrs. Luckman, Mr. Fenton (fell in love for the game time in his class), Mrs. Murphy and Mr. Jones.
