Written by Peter Wells, Banstead Urchins is a recounting of schoolboy escapades in Banstead Village during the 1950s. Memories galore of wooden soapbox carts, balsawood model aircraft, local bobbies, fire engines with bells, Formica kitchen tables, IZAL toilet paper (yes!), fishing nets, four-wheeled roller skates, tadpoles in jars. . . the list is endless.

It is without doubt the most entertaining book in BHRG's collection and it will have readers of all ages laughing out loud.

Comments received so far include:

It is SO FUNNY. AE (Worthing)

I can’t remember enjoying a book so much for years. I laughed such a lot when reading it." JC (Honiton)

If you or someone you know was around in the 1950s this book is a must have.
