We used to be taken here to sit on the floor and watch a schools' programme on a portable TV that was wheeled out. (1973/4 ish). Best part of the day that, apart from marbles games outside.
We also had singing lessons with Mrs Sailsbury/Soulsbury (sp???)...
I did not like her at all. To the right, for a while - maybe near the nearest radiator, they had the "Banda" spirit ink duplicating machine that used a gel coated master that the teacher typed through without a ribbon, then spirit blue/purple ink was used to go through the typed impressions and print onto plain paper multiple times for handouts. Sometimes the print was so fresh that it was still stinky.
