The Wheatsheaf Brighton Rd Banstead

The original Wheatsheaf Inn was demolished in the late thirties. The present pub, now the Olive Tree was built behind and to the side of this old beer house. At one time they stood together. Henry Barber my great grandfather was the landlord on the 1901 census.

Comments:
This is the original Wheatsheaf hotel. My Step grandfather was run over coming out to the Brighton Rd and lost a leg. The new Wheatsheaf is to the side of this pub and back next to Prospect Gararge.
