Last Day of Banstead Coaches Bus service (2)

The last day of Banstead Buses. The photograph shows the bus back in the garage with driver Vic.

Photograph from the 1986 Adventure Club logbook edited by the late John Clifford.

Wow that's a tight fit! Does anyone know Vic's surname and where he lived?

Comments:
I remember him as Vic Smith, and he was driving the Candy Floss way back in the 1960's, when we lived along the route in Woodmansterne.
Come rain, sun or snowfall we could almost set the time from the timekeeping of this bus service between The Victoria and The Midday Sun ! Very rarely did it fail to run.

Yes I remember Vic Smith too. Our Candy Floss bus hardly ever let us down. The only time I personally remember her not running was January 1963 when we had the big freeze and I had to walk to CVS School on top of snow drifts, stepping over barbed wire fences which I knew were somewhere below when I walked from Beckenshaw Gardens through Paddy Graham’s fields between Scratch Wood and Lakers Rise where I kept my pony.
