Comments:
Would my old baby-sitter from my 50s childhood be here? We only knew her as “Miss Muggeridge” but I wonder if she was married. I seem to recall bumping into her near my Garrard Road home some years later and she said she had recently “buried her husband”. I had never heard the phrase before and imagined her getting to work with a shovel.

Note from LNW: One of the Muggeridge sisters, Aileen, was a nursery maid and her story is in our latest publication which includes many more Muggeridges. See more details on picture #830.
