The Beacon - the best read in town!

It’s July 1958 and it’s publication day for The Beacon, the annual magazine produced by Banstead County Junior School in the High Street – and here are seven keen readers: in the front row (l to r) are John Edmunds and me, plus two whose whose names now sadly escape me with the passing of time; and in the back row on the right is Iain Horden. It’s clearly a good read, the best read in town!
