Banstead Village Day 2021

At last! The much-delayed and very welcome Banstead Village Day – where, for the most part, even the weather smiled on us.
The community day, organised by the Banstead Rotary Club, was held at The Orchard, and although a little soggy underfoot, the event was a very well-attended success.

The highlight of the day was a spirited performance by the Banstead Show Choir, launched in 2014 by former professional opera and West End soloist Angela Mackenzie. And even the high street’s lamp posts joined in with festive knitted adornments.

As one of the banners said, “It’s been a tough year – so let’s have some fun.” And that’s exactly what we all had. Fun… and a little bit of normality to lift the spirits!
