Royal British Legion Centenary bench

On 11 November 2021, Cllr Rachel Turner deputy Mayor of the Borough of Reigate and Banstead unveiled a brand new bench installed to the rear of the Banstead War Memorial to celebrate the centenary of the Royal British Legion. It was jointly funded by the Reigate and Banstead Borough Council and the Banstead and District Branch of the Royal British Legion.

This year is also the 100th anniversary of the unveiling of the War Memorial and the Banstead History Research Group have published a book to record the first 100 years. Details can be found at picture #686
