A VE Card issued by the 2nd Tactical Air Force, in this case to Robert Oliver Wilson, father of a Banstead resident. Robert was an armourer.

The founder of the RAF Lord Trenchard held the armourer in high esteem and was quoted saying "The armourer, without him there is no need for an airforce".
